Freedom 251, the smartphone manufactured by ringing bells private limited which created a uproar few months for its price, was supposed to be delivered by the 30th of June 2016. However, as per the latest news, this announcement has been contradicted. Ringing bells private limited has now revealed that the delivery of 2 lakh smartphone will begin from the 8th of July. According to Ringing Bells’ Founder and CEO Mohit Goel, the manufacturers have been trying to fix a meeting with Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi, looking for ample support under the Make in India initiative. Mr Goel further said “We are planning to organise a launch event in the capital on July 7, a day after starting the delivery.” In a conversation with Mr Goel, he said that Ringing Bells’ is selling the smartphone at a loss of Rs. 140- Rs. 150 per piece, while the actual price should have been no less than Rs. 500.

According to the earlier announcement, it was promised by CEO Mr Goel that registrations will be open for the phone after the phase one of the delivery is finished.
