Idea slashes internet pack rates, now 10GB at Rs. 990; 5GB at Rs. 649

Idea cellular has slashed its rates for 3G and 4G big internet packs up to 67% for both its prepaid and postpaid customers. With this step, heavy internet users, who use data packs from 2GB to 10GB.

This cut was announced earlier this month, when idea reduced the rates of its sachet data packs by 45%. Idea is now offering its data pack of 10GB/4G/3G just for Rs. 990. The 2GB data pack which was earlier available at Rs. 449, is now priced just at Rs. 349. The 5 GB /4G/3G is now available at just Rs. 649- which is at a 67% more than the earlier 3GB data.

With the sharp cut in prices, Idea customers will have the complete convenience of downloading movies, streaming songs and playing online games without having to think about data balance.

Commenting on the recent price revision, the CEO of Idea Cellular Mr Sashi Shankar says “While the price reduction in our sachet data packs was aimed at inducting more users into the world of internet; the reduction in rates of BIG Recharge packs now, is aimed at delivering significantly higher Value for Money to our regular internet users. Our consumer research studies have indicated a growing demand for affordable high volume internet packs which we are aiming to fulfil with the new offers.”
