Mittal owned Bharti Airtel has come up with a new international roaming pack of just Rs. 1199, which is valid only for 10 days. The pack has been made available in all popular destinations like Singapore, Thailand, US/Canada, UK and UAE. Airtel company officials have confirmed that the pack offers unlimited free incoming calls, 2GB 3G data, 250 minutes of free calling to India and 100 free text messages daily. The pack has been designed specifically for short international trips. Post the pack, the international roaming will be charged at Rs. 3 per MB, while the outgoing calls to India and local calls to any network will be charged at Rs. 3 per minute.
Commenting on the launch of the new international pack, the Director of Market Operations (India and South Asia) Bharti Airtel, said “We are delighted to introduce the new 10-day validity pack for International Roaming and provide added flexibility to customers. These affordable packs will enable users to now stay connected 24×7 without having to worry about the high call and data charges while roaming on international networks.”
Airtel has also introduced roaming packs that come with validity of 1 day validity and 30 days. Customers who want to get the pack activated in their phone can visit the Airtel website, My Airtel App, USSD and customer contact centers.
