Well, in the world of smartphones, Apple is the leader but let’s cut it to another level. Who leads the tribe when it comes to Android devices? Yes, Samsung! This Korean giant releases its flagship devices along with several budget and pocket-friendly devices too. And yes, ‘several’ devices means, to be true the numbers are many. Samsung on an average releases almost 25-30 phones per year, and yes some of these devices only make it to some parts of the world only.

So, is it easier to choose a Samsung device? Well, No! just telling somebody that go for its flagship, like Note and the Galaxy series won’t do justice. We get it! These are flagships and have the top-notch hardware and other specs, but the mid-rangers and even some budget devices that Samsung is offering have been stuffed with massive capabilities. This is where we come into the picture. In this list, we are going to lay down all the best high, mid and even some budget devices that Samsung has to offer to their customers. So, let’s get started.

The 2017 all-rounder

Samsung Galaxy Phone

Well, giving Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 plus the tag of a 2017 all-rounder is justified. With all new design getting rid of the bezels overall, Samsung has managed to woo their customers with the whooping specs too. After the release of its predecessor and getting a huge success in the market, Samsung has come up with the new line-up of their Galaxy smartphones.

They are shipping in two different variants if we talk about the processors. One is with the Snapdragon 821 chip on-board, and the other one is rocking Samsung’s own Exynos 8895 underneath the hood. The Note lineup last creates a havoc amongst its users and Samsung tried every bit to make sure to prevent any such mishaps that happened with the Note 7. So, Samsung refrained from putting a huge battery in their new Galaxy line-up and rather went ahead with just a 3,000 mAh and a 3,500 mAh battery inside, for (S8 and S8 plus models respectively). Let us go through the on paper specs.

Galaxy S8 Plus

  • Super AMOLED, res of 2960 x 1440 with 529 ppi 6.2 inches screen
  • Snapdragon 821 or the Exynos 8895 chip (both are Octa-core processors)
  • 4 GB of RAM
  • 64 GB internal memory
  • 12 Megapixel and a front facing 8-megapixel camera
  • And Android Nougat out of the box

Whereas on the other hand the Galaxy S8 have a smaller display with a Super AMOLED, 2960 x 1440 res, 529 ppi screen and just a 3,000 mAh battery. The remaining specs remain the same as that of the Galaxy S8 Plus, except S8 have a smaller form factor. Moving ahead, we’ve the Samsung’s Mid-range smartphones;

The 2017 variant of the Galaxy A7 and A5

Samsung Galaxy

The A series of the Samsung Galaxy line-up can be considered as the premium line-up for budget oriented devices that Samsung has to offer. And as far as the marketing is concerned, the A series has been getting a lot more attention, neglecting the C series behind. The A series has been there for a while now. Since its official release for the first time in 2015, the A7 and A5 tried to put their focus on developing markets, being in the budget segment.

It is obvious that you won’t be getting Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus specs in this budget smartphone category, but yes what you’ll be getting in this price bracket makes the Galaxy A7 and A5 the mid-ranger flagships. Here are the specs:

Galaxy A7 (2017)

  • A full HD, 5.7 inches with 386 ppi panel
  • Samsung’s Exynos 7 Octa 7880
  • RAM of 3 GB

The J series of Samsung line up is obviously not recommended for power users. For sure, they can’t handle a lot of heavy games like Sniper Elite 4, Dream League Soccer and other games. But the Galaxy J series are quite good for the day to day uses like browsing the internet, streaming audio and video and even light gaming works pretty fast of the J7 series.
